    About us

Inshore Safety was founded to develop water safety solutions specifically for crews of pleasure crafts operating in coastal and sheltered waters. We challenge the widely accepted belief that boating in sheltered waters is inherently safer than offshore sailing. In our experience, it is not less dangerous — it is differently dangerous. Sheltered waters present their own unique risks and rescue challenges. Our mission is to address these challenges through practical, well-designed safety products. The foundation of Inshore Safety is a portfolio of patented inventions developed by our founder, László Mucsi. The first product of this innovation platform is the Completed Lifebuoy System (CLS), which we are introducing to the international market through a global distributor network.

“I have been sailing since childhood, so choosing my professional path was a natural decision. I graduated as an MSc naval architect at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Over the years, I have worked as a sailboat designer and recreational craft examiner. I have also served as class captain of the Hungarian 11 Metre One Design class and as president of a sailing club.

I have encountered many rescue methods and devices on the water, but very few were designed for non-professional users — despite the fact that they make up the majority of crews on pleasure crafts. With CLS, my goal is to simplify and improve amateur water rescue. I believe that with better-designed equipment, we can significantly reduce the number of tragic accidents on the water.”

“I have been sailing on lakes and seas for over forty years and currently serve as captain of the Hungarian 11 Metre One Design class.

I am deeply committed to environmental protection — and equally committed to the protection of human life. This is why I chose to support Inshore Safety and the CLS project as an investor.”

“Working in the property business, my focus has always been on people.

Based on my own sailing experience, I am convinced that the ergonomics of boating life-saving equipment can be significantly improved. The CLS project addresses exactly this need, which is why I decided to invest in Inshore Safety.”

“Innovation is essential in my business. A truly good idea is an asset that can create real value for society.

The CLS project is ultimately about saving human lives, which is a priority for me. I recognized these values in Inshore Safety, and that is why I chose to become involved.”
