    About us

The Inshore Safety was created with the aim of creating a water safety product group especially for the crews of pleasure crafts that operates on coastal or sheltered waters. We break up with the generally accepted idea that boating in sheltered waters is much less dangerous than in open waters. We say, that it is not less dangerous, but it is just differently dangerous. Other threats and challenges can come up on sheltered waters, and we want to answer all of these challenges with our products. The base of the product group is a set of patented inventions that come from Laszlo Mucsi, who is the founder of Inshore Safety. The first element of the group is the CLS, which we plan to sell worldwide through an international distributor network.

„I’m lucky to have been sailing since my childhood. There was no question of my career choice, I graduated as an  M.Sc naval architect at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I was sailboat designer, I became a professional skipper and I worked as BBS Examinator of recreational crafts. Beside my work, I was the class captain of the Hungarian 11 Metre One Design boat class, and also the president of a sailing club.

I’ve seen so many different methods and equipment for water rescue, but none of them were developed for unskilled outsiders, although they are the majority of the crew on a pleasure craft. With designing CLS, I want to reform and simplify the amateur lifesaving. I believe that together, with the proper equipment, we can reduce the number of tragic accidents on the waters.”

„I have been sailing on lakes and seas for forty years. I am currently captain of the Hungarian 11MOD class. I am committed to the protection of the environment, but I am also committed to the protection of human life. That is why I have decided to support Inshore Safety and the CLS project with my investment.”

„I work in property business, so for me it’s all about people. Based on my own experience, I am convinced that the ergonomics of life-saving equipment used in boating can be improved in a way that greatly enhances its usability. The Inshore Safety’s CLS project does exactly that. That’s why I decided to invest in this.”

„In my business the innovative approach is important. A really good idea is some kind of asset to be exploited for the benefit of society. In addition, the CLS project is about saving human lives, which is a priority for me. I see these values in Inshore Safety and that is why I get involved in this.”
