CLS Upgrade Kit

The CLS Upgrade Kit is a safety-related accessory product designed to be used exclusively together with a compatible, approved throwable life-saving device (such as a lifebuoy or horseshoe buoy).

• The CLS Upgrade Kit is NOT a standalone life-saving appliance.
• The use of this product does NOT guarantee a successful rescue.

• Rescue outcomes depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to:

  • environmental conditions,

  • the physical and mental condition of the persons involved,

  • correct installation and use of the product,

  • compliance with applicable safety rules and good seamanship practices.

Intended Use

The CLS Upgrade Kit is intended solely for:

• assisting horizontal pulling of a person in the water toward a safe location,
• improving handling, throwing accuracy, and rope management of a compatible rescue device.

The product must NOT be used for:

• lifting or hoisting a person vertically out of the water,
• purposes other than water rescue assistance,
• use with incompatible or modified rescue devices.

User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

• reading and understanding the official Instructions for Use (IFU),
• ensuring correct installation and compatibility before use,
• complying with all applicable maritime safety regulations and local requirements.

Failure to follow the Instructions for Use or safety warnings may result in:

• product malfunction,
• unsuccessful rescue,
• serious injury or death.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the manufacturer and distributor shall not be liable for damages resulting from:

• misuse or improper installation of the product,
• use contrary to the Instructions for Use,
• use beyond the intended purpose,
• unforeseen or extreme conditions.
