How to use Inshore Safety's products

    Floating carabiner

The product is designed for water rescue of people and lighter equipment (max. working load 500kg/1100lbs). No installation is required, the product can be used immediately after unpacking.

    • After a few test openings of the Wire Gate, check that the Wire Gate and the Nose are properly connected.
    • Tie the floating rope or floating webbing to the narrower elbow of the carabiner’s spine (Runner End). Use a self-tightening knot. Check regularly that the knot has not loosened.
    • To open the carabiner, push the Wire Gate in until it touches the Foam Cover. The max. opening of the Wire Gate is 13 mm. Hook the connecting part into the carabiner’s Rope Basket and release the Wire Gate. Make sure that the Wire Gate and the Nose are properly connected.

    Attention!

    • The product can float on the water by itself or connected to floating objects. Non-floating objects can pull it under water!
    • NOT suitable for climbing!

NOTICE! Due to UV radiation, the color of the product may change.

    Floating rope

The product is designed for water rescue of people and lighter equipment (max. working load 250kg/550lbs). The product is ready for use immediately after unpacking.

You can attach one end of the rope to a fixed point with a grab loop on the rope, or the carabiner, or the carabiner hooked into the loop, then throw the rope bundle towards the person to be rescued. The person in the water can do the following:

    • grabs the grab loop on the rope,
    • attaches him/herself or equipment to the carabiner,
    • or he/she can surround the equipment with rope and forms a larger loop by hooking the carabiner into the grab loop.

Then pull the victim toward yourself until he/she can be grabbed by hand and helping him/her to be safety. The rope can also help to lift the victim on board.

Always keep the rope coiled in order to be used immediately if necessary.

Attention! The product can float on the water by itself or connected to floating objects. Non-floating objects can pull it under water!

    Throw Line Kit

The product is designed for water rescue of people and lighter equipment (max. working load 250kg/550lbs). The product is ready for use immediately after unpacking.
Secure the rope to a fixed point using the black carabiner at the end of the floating rope. If you are unable to do so, attach it to yourself. Pull off the rope bundle from the rope holder and drop it in a place where the rope can run freely (e.g. on the ground or in the water). Throw the handle towards the person to be rescued. If the throw is not adequate, pull back the handle and coil the rope onto the holder in a figure of eight so that the successive loops are top of each other. Repeat the throwing procedure. If the throw is successful, the victim is able to notice the handle in the water and can safely grab it or attach a floating device to the colored carabiner. Pull the victim towards yourself until the victim can be grabbed by hand and helping him/her to be safety.

Always keep the rope coiled in a figure of eight on the rope holder so that it can be used immediately if necessary.

Attention! The product can float on the water by itself or connected to floating objects. Non-floating objects can pull it under water!
